The Strategy
The Mika Haka Foundation International Strategy is three fold:
1. Producing a product that is of a high quality, distinctly Aotearoa | New Zealand and one that can be exported internationally and compete on a world stage.
2. Develop audiences for our products through the building of key partnerships and relationships. Working with like-minded organizations and individuals who understand the value of our product.
3. Developing our own artists in a way that prepares them for an international career. Where possible encouraging their work and experience through the exchange of ideas at an international level.
Completed International Projects:
1. Japan – Representing Auckland in a Sister City Cultural Exchange with Fukuoka
2. Tokyo and Kyoto Fringe Festivals – Māori/ Japanese collaboration
3. India – Collaborative Māori/Indian dance work
